Program Evaluation Fellow - Youth INC

Location: New York City, NY Dates: September 23 - December 13, 2019

Compensation: $700/week stipend, up to 5% bonus Deadline: July 21, 2019

 

Future Leaders In ACtion Overview:

FLIA cultivates leaders and strengthens youth-oriented nonprofits and organizations through a fellowship program. Fellows, individuals interested in entering the social sector, work on-site full-time at a partner nonprofit to develop or implement a pre-determined enrichment program.

Throughout the fellowship, fellows gain various professional skills including fundraising, communication, program development,  in a fast-paced, hands-on learning environment.

 

Youth INC Overview:

Youth INC’s mission is “To transform the lives of New York City youth by empowering the organizations that serve them.” Youth INC’s programs focus on building the capacity of their Partner Nonprofits. Their programs focus on providing trainings in a variety of areas including fundraising, governance, and social emotional learning impact evaluation.

 

Position Overview and Responsibilities:

You will …

  • Develop plan for continued support of alumni of Youth INC’s Metrics program based on feedback from alumni in Partner Network

  • Develop internal program evaluation plan for Youth INC’s Metrics program

  • Attend a pre-fellowship training retreat in Chicago, IL from September 23-27, 2019 (expenses covered)

  • Fundraise $500 (with guidance from FLIA)

  • Actively participate in weekly FLIA professional development responsibilities including check-in calls

  • Write two blog articles

  • Complete final report and video

  • Some experience with data analysis and collection

  • Passionate about the social sector

  • Use patience and tolerance to address problems

  • Demonstrate integrity

  • Demonstrate ability to work independently and in a team
