Fellows work on-site, full-time with a youth-focused partner organization and remotely with FLIA for twelve to thirteen weeks.

Work with Fiver Children's Foundation

The Fiver Children’s Foundation is a comprehensive youth development organization that makes a 10-year commitment to children from underserved communities throughout New York City and central New York. 

Two fellows will work with Fiver to improve environmental programming and health programming with youth at Camp Fiver.

Work with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Iowa

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Iowa creates and sustains meaningful, monitored mentoring relationships between adult volunteers (Bigs) and children (Littles) between the ages of 5 and 18.

The fellow will work with staff to improve the structure of Opportunities for Post-Secondary Success program (OPS), a leadership and community engagement program.

Work with Youth Standing Strong (YSS)

YSS provides prevention, treatment, and transition programming and services to children, youth and families in Iowa. Iowa Homeless Youth Centers works to transition youth between the ages of 16 - 25 in Des Moines, IA.

The fellow will incorporate a leadership development and community engagement component to, existing program, Post-Secondary Education Retention Program (PSERP).
