Norah Nidey (she/her) with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Iowa

Norah Nidey is a proud Des Moines native. She just completed her second year at Iowa State University, studying Communications and German for Professionals. Passionate about advocacy and community engagement, Norah has experience in leadership initiatives focused on education, women’s empowerment, and civic involvement. Recent projects include work with Planned Parenthood and her literacy initiative, Books Are Magical! This summer, Norah will work with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Iowa developing curriculum and gaining hands-on nonprofit experience. She hopes to pursue a future career in nonprofit management and international relations. Outside of academics and advocacy work, Norah enjoys traveling, yoga, camping, and reading.
