Ian worked with Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Iowa this fall to facilitate a new partnership with Drake University around their music program and provided recommendations on how to sustain a BGCCI-centric music program.
Overview
Worked with various BGCCI staff to gain an understanding of the organizational culture and existing music programs to guide procedural recommendations and program enhancements for music programming
Created groundwork for working relationship with Drake University music faculty and BGCCI as initial programming will occur in January 2020 at Burt Club
Observed after school alliance programs, other BGCCI programs in progress to assess needs and capabilities of sites for implementation of future music programs
Researched both in-school processes and other individual needs-based service initiatives that can be used as a resource for BGCCI as they begin to expand the music program
