Dear Friends,
On behalf of the Board of Directors, I am thrilled to announce that Milly Seraus-Roache has been appointed the Executive Director of Future Leaders in Action. After a thorough interview process, our Hiring Committee and Board determined that Milly has a focus on relationship and community-building, and the nonprofit experience to support and empower fellows and alumni needed for the role. It has been a joy to work with Milly over the past two and a half weeks as we transition responsibilities. It is invigorating to hear how Milly wants to honor FLIA and our core values, while working to improve the support and opportunities for fellows, alumni, partner organizations, and our broader FLIA community. We feel confident that Milly’s collaborative approach to leadership will strengthen the organization for continued, long-term success.
As we reimagine and create the future, we look forward to collaborating with Milly in service of cultivating leadership opportunities, especially for those left out of traditional opportunities, and supporting our nonprofit partners. Over the course of this year, we look forward to sharing the transformative work of our fellows and alumni with you, and to hearing your perspective on our present and future as we celebrate this transition and six-years of operating. I look forward to joining the Board of Directors on July 31, 2021 after my last day. We are deeply thankful for your continued support. Here, Milly offers her thoughts as she steps into her new role.
